South African Dewald Brevis made headlines during the ICC U19 World Cup 2022 as he was the leading run-scorer in the tournament. Brevis also known as ‘Baby AB’ scored 506 runs at an average of 84.33 with two hundred and three fifties in just six games.

The South African team got out in the quarter-finals but the ‘Baby AB’ stole all the limelight for his excellent batting.

Being the highest run-scorer, it is no wonder he would initiate a bidding war in the auction.

During the 23rd match of the ongoing 15th season of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians batter Brevis announced his arrival on the IPL stage when he struck four sixes and a four against Rahul Chahar of the Punjab Kings.

Playing his third match, the uncapped South African scored a game-changing 49(25) with the help of four fours and fives sixes while chasing a target of 199.

While Brevis had scored an eye-catching 29(19) against Kolkata Knight Riders and dismissed Virat Kohli against Royal Challengers Banglore, his consecutive four sixes to Rahul Chahar gave him the fame moment of IPL.
