It was not a great night for Manchester United fans as the team lost 2 points yet again in the Premier League. United’s Luke Shaw had a decent night and was putting some good balls into the Burnely box.
However, what fans loved from yesterday’s match was his kind gesture to help Burnely player Maxwel Cornet.
Luke Shaw Helps Injured Maxwel Cornet
Burnely hosted Manchester United in the Premier League match week 24. Moreover, the incident took place during the 68th minute when the score was level.
Burnely’s left forward Maxwel Cornet was struggling on the pitch and he was going to get replaced. However, he was not well with his leg as we can see in the footage. Notably, Luke Shaw helped Cornet towards the sidelines. Watch the clip:

Also respect to Luke Shaw for helping Cornet off the pitch when he was quite obviously struggling. Top drawer sportsmanship. https://t.co/oH0SeBkmfS

Shaw Against Burnley
It was yet again a decent night for Manchester United. They lost 2 important points against the 20th placed Burnely in the league. Paul Pogba’s goal gave United the early lead, but the home side equalized with a second-half goal from Rodriguez.
Luke Shaw put up some good numbers while attacking. He completed 54 passes out of 65, out of the 3 were key passes. He had a total of 92 touches in the game.

Manchester United With Another Trophyless Season?

Manchester United’s problems are not coming to an end anytime soon. Furthermore, the team lost against Championship side Middlesbrough in the FA Cup. Now, they’re out from the FA Cup and EFL Cup. And probably, from the Premier League title race too, as Manchester City, the table toppers are now 18 points ahead of them.
The only hope for United to lift a trophy is in Champions League. Considering the current form, fans are not expecting that much from the team, but there’s hope, as Chelsea did something similar last season.
