Now, in the game against local rival Espanyol, Barca started well and scored in the very second minute of the game. It was youngster Pedri who tapped in with a stretching leg of Jordi Alba’s cross.

Barcelona started strong and this was much needed for Xavi’s men. If they manage to keep this scoreline, they will be in the top 4, with a 2 point lead against defending Champions Atletico Madrid. Also, they will be only 2 points behind Real Betis, with a game in hand.
Barca’s Starting XI Against Espanyol
Xavi used his typical 4-3-3 against Espanyol. Moreover, Dest was back in the starting XI and joined Pique, Araujo, and Jordi Alba.
As usual, it was Busquets holding the midfield area with De Jong. Pedri also continued to start and made his 4th La Liga appearance of the season. New signings of the club, Torres, and Traore started in the front along with Gavi.
