Foreign players are the main highlights of the IPL. Each year many overseas players are bought by the different franchises. Players have a dream to play in the world’s toughest league IPL. In the mega auction of IPL 2022, many players went unsold, among them were some of the world-class overseas players.
Some players who have been a part of IPL for many seasons have also been unsold due to the lack of criteria needed by the different franchises.

The former Australian captain and world-class player Steven Smith is marked as unsold in the IPL 2022 mega auction which is quite shocking for his fans and audience too. Steven Smith has also led RR for different seasons. The lack of form and consistency is maybe the reason that he was not approached by any franchise in the auction.

The T20 world cup winning captain and a destructive opener have been marked unsold in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He was bought by RCB in the previous season but can’t perform as the franchise expectations. His poor form in the international matches is a big question mark in his IPL career.
3. EION MORGAN(Base Price-1.50 crore)
2019 ODI world cup winning captain and middle-order batsman Eoin Morgan has gone unsold in the 2022 IPL mega auction. Eoin Morgan has led the KKR team to the semifinal of the 2021 IPL season but his lack of form and inconsistency made him unapproachable by the franchises. 4. JAMES NEESHAM (Base Price-1 crore)
The powerhouse on the field in all the departments batting bowling and fielding Newzealand’s star all-rounder James Neesham has been put on the unsold list. In 2021. Mumbai Indians bought him as an all-rounder but he can’t take his place in the playing XI of the team.
5. MOHAMMAD NABI(Base price- 1 crore)
The Afghanistan former captain and a match-winner bowler have been marked unsold in IPL 2022. Despite being an economical bowler his inconsistency in taking wickets makes him a liability for his team. Nabi was bought by SRH in 2021 but he can’t get many chances in the playing XI of the team.
