Ravindra Jadeja Seals Top Position in All Rounder Test Rankings After Phenomenal Performance Against Sri Lanka

Ravindra Jadeja has climbed to the top position in ICC Test Rankings for all-rounder on 9th March after his upper hand performance in Sri Lanka vs India Test match. Jadeja gave his tremendous match-winning performance in the opening Test in Mohali.

He also won the Player of the Match title in the Test match of India vs Sri Lanka, where India won by an innings and 222 runs.

Jadeja made his Test Cricket debut in 13th December 2012 against England. And played his latest Test match on 4th March 2022 against Sri Lankan Team. He proved once again that he is an all-rounder.

His performance at the Test Cricket led him to the no. 1 position in the ICC Men’s Test Player Ranking. August 2017 was the last time when he topped the list but only spent a week at the number one position. West Indies Player Jason Holder was in the number 1 position since February 2021 but Ravindra Jadeja gave an excellent performance at Sri Lanka vs India match which was enough to drag him down from his position.

Also for ICC Test Batting Rankings Jadeja’s position preceded up to 17 positions, claiming the 37th position direct from 54th because of his performance after picking 9 wickets and 175-run knock in the first innings against the Sri Lankan Team. India defeated Sri Lanka with a total score of 574 runs to Sri Lanka’s 178 runs.

After India vs Sri Lanka test match Virat Kohli’s rank for ICC Men’s Test Batting ranking increased from no. 7 to no. 5. Also, wicket-keeper batsman Rishab Pant’s ranking broke into the top 10 after the match.

Ravichandran Ashwin of the Indian Cricket Team is in 3rd position for ICC Men’s All Rounder player rankings, he also holds the position in the list of ICC Rankings in Bowlers in 2nd spot.

India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test

The second test match between India and Sri Lanka is to be played between 12 March and 16 March from 2:00 pm. India is most likely to win the match against Sri Lanka as the team has won the previous matches as well with an incredible score.
