A few days left for the 2022 IPL season, and teams are getting ready, foreign players who are the highlights of IPL are joining their respective team camps. In this scenario, the Afgan wicket-keeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been signed by Gujarat Titans as a replacement for Jason Roy in the 2022 IPL season.
The destructive opener of England’s team Jason Roy who was bought by the Gujarat Titans in the mega auction for a whopping price of 2 crores has pulled off his name from IPL 2022 because of mental health.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz Signed By Gujarat Titans As A Replacement for Jason Roy
The 2022 IPL season will be the debut season for the Gujarat Titans but the franchise was facing the problem of an opener batsman for their team as Jason Roy has been pulled back his name from this year’s IPL but after signing Rahmanullah Gurbaz as the replacement the team looks quite stable and ready for this season.
The right-handed wicket-keeper batsman for Afghanistan cricket team Rahmanullah Gurbaz will be playing his debut season in IPL 2022. Gurbaz who is known for his destructive batting and six-hitting abilities might be seen as a good replacement for Jason Roy. The wicket-keeping skills have also been a reason that he was signed by Gujarat Titans.
A Good Replacement?
Gurbaz started his international career from a T20 match against Zimbabwe in 2019 and later he debut for the Afghanistan team in ODI on 24 Jan 2021, playing for the Afghanistan international team Gurbaz has scored 428 runs in 9 ODI matches with three centuries and 534 runs in 20 T20 matches with a strike rate of 137.53.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is now the third Afghanistan player after Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi to play for a franchise in IPL.
The confidence and temperament have been seen clearly from Gurbaz’s batting style as his skills to score runs and win matches is what GT required after Jason Roy pulled back from IPL 200.
