Everything seems to be going in the opposite direction for Manchester United. Earlier, a player was arrested because of rape and assault allegations, then after a few days, the team was knocked out of the FA Cup. Now, it seems like players are not happy with the interim manager, Ralf Rangnick.
An Insider told The Mirror that, players are not happy with the situation and the way Rangnick is dealing at the moment. Recently, Rangnick and Jesse Lingard were caught against each other. The German manager explained to the media that, Jesse has asked few days of off. But later on, Lingard took to Twitter and said that the club has advised him to take a few days off.
Jesse Lingard And Ralf Rangnick Not On The Same Page
Manchester United were eliminated by the Championship side Middlesbrough at Old Trafford in a dramatic penalty shootout. After Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty in the early stages of the game, youngster Elanga failed to score from the spot in the 8th kick.
In the post-match press conference, Rangnick said, “We were one outfield player less on the team sheet, so why would I have allowed him [Lingard] to have four or five days off?”
He added, “I would have loved to have had him in the squad.”
Lingard replied to this and posted a Tweet on his Twitter.
The club advised me to have time off due to personal reasons! But my headspace is clear and I’ll always be professional when called upon and give 100 percent

According to Mirror, players are not happy with this kind of situation and want to deal with all these behind closed doors and not in public. On the other hand, Rangnick is the interim manager and his main target is to finish in the top 4 and qualify for the Champions League. To make this possible, he thinks that he needs to be honest and say everything what’s going on.
Is Lingard Asking For A Transfer?

The midfielder only managed to secure 1 premier League minute under the German manager. After coming back from West Ham, he started well but was sidelined mainly due to the United’s attacking star power.
Lingard surely needs more game time and he was expecting a move in this transfer window. However, Donny van de Beek’s move to Everton and Martial to Sevilla looks like created a way for Lingard.
Lingard’s contract is going to end in 2022. But the Englishmen seem not to be interested in signing a new one. Teams like Newcastle United, Juventus, and West Ham are heavily linked with Lingard.
