Liverpool Transfer News: Jurgen Klopp Denies To Sign Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland Transfer: The 21-year-old Norway international, Erling Haaland is set to leave the German Club at the end of the season with almost every top European team interested in signing him, and a reported 75 million euro release clause attached to any move.

Haaland is a man in demand, but Anfield will not be his next destination. Jurgen Klopp(manager of Liverpool) has confirmed there is ‘no chance’ Liverpool will be trying to sign the Bundesliga star Erling Haaland.

The 21 years have scored 80 goals in 83 matches for his Bundesliga side and has already scored 23 times this season despite multiple injury absences. He has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

Haaland is under contract as Borussia Dortmund until 2024, therefore prying him away from the German side prematurely would come at a large cost.

The striker reported value is putting the Reds off from even considering making a move for him As his value is 350 million euros according to Klopp.

What Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp Said About Erling Haaland Transfer

Speaking to the German news outlet SportBlid, Klopp said” We won’t be going there. The numbers involved are just crazy-we’ll have nothing to do with it. No chance!”

“To be honest, I don’t want anything to do with it. it’s not fun”

Haaland A Prized Possession of BVB

Convincing the Bundesliga giants to let go of their prized possession won’t be easy and a report suggests that Haaland will carry a price tag of around $300 million.

Dortmund’s plan to dissuade potential buyers from getting Haaland appears to be working, then. Haaland has won just one trophy – The German Cup-with his side, the youngster may be on the move, if a club comes with the right amount of cash.

Reports suggest Liverpool rivals Manchester City are the front runners to sign Haaland.

Pep Guardiola’s side Manchester City lacks a striker after the departure of Sergio Aguero and it had failed to match the price for Tottenham’s Harry Kane last summer

How Much Erling Haaland Cost

The player has a gentlemen’s agreement with BVB. A minimum bid of 75m would see BVB enter talks with interested parties.

Manchester City is thought to be leading the race to sign 21 years old.

Haaland himself wants around 25m per year after tax which equates to around 50M gross. If he signs a 5-year contract with any club it would cost them 250 million on wages alone.
