“I Really Do Not Concern Myself With That”: Kyrie Irving Reacts To James Harden’s Trade Rumors

Brooklyn Nets lost yet another game in the NBA and it seems like the absence of Kevin Durant is causing them too much. Players like Kyrie Irving and James Harden are putting some insane numbers, but those seem to be not enough to taste a victory.

At the start of the year, the New York-based team was on top of the table in the East and now they have fallen down to 7th after losing 8 consecutive matches. In the post-match press conference, Kyrie Irving shared his thoughts about the team performance and the trade rumor about James Harden which spread like a fire in the media.

Kyrie Irving Thinks James Harden Is Committed

Kyrie Irving recently came back into the team after being sidelined for many months. Earlier, he was not included in the squad as he denied for vaccination. As of now, Irving can play away matches for the team.

Speaking about the trade rumor of James Harden to 76ers, he said, “How all those media plants start going around with rumors and stuff like that, I really do not concern myself with that.”

He added, the few conversations that we’ve had, he’s been really committed. We just hold him to his word. Obviously, when we’re going out to play games, we can’t even really think about it. We would love to have him in the lineup, but we want him at his optimal healthy… and then we let the rest take care of it, but who knows what’s going to happen.”

Harden Trade Rumors

After denying the 76ers at the very end moment, James Harden joined Brooklyn Nets in 2021 to form a big three along with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. However, it didn’t worked as Irving was sidelined for most of the time and now Durant is injured.

Harden is having a great season and averaging 22.5 points per season. Moreover, he’s averaging 10.2 assists per season which is the second-best in the league this season.

76ers are now the favorites to trade Harden from Nets. 76ers owners and president have a very good relationship with Harden and they might trade Ben Simmons, who wants to leave. However, Harden’s former team Rockets have also expressed their interest to land their star player.
