The transfer saga of Kylian Mbappe has taken a new turn as Premier League club Liverpool has now joined the race to sign the Frenchman. According to a Spanish media outlet, Mbappe has had a ‘radical’ rethink after scoring the late goal against Real Madrid in the first leg.
Mbappe scored in injury time for PSG to win the 1st leg of the UCL draw after Lionel missed a penalty. After the match, Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti praised the youngster and called him the best in Europe. However, now the table looks to be turning and the odds are getting against the favor of Real Madrid.
Can Kylian Mbappe Join Liverpool This Summer?
Mbappe’s transfer saga began in the summer of 2021, when he asked the PSG management to leave for Real Madrid. The move was not made by PSG, as they wanted the Frenchman for at least a season to play with Messi and Neymar.
Mbappe’s contract will get expired in the summer of 2022 and it was assumed that Real Madrid will get the signatures of the World Cup Golden boy. Previously, Mbappe has openly said that Real Madrid is his destination and Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol.
After the game against Real Madrid, Mbappe said that he has not decided yet for the future and is focused on PSG’s career where he is currently playing. He also said that this UCL game has nothing to do with his future.
Kylian Mbappé: "People talk about me and my future, it's normal – but as a player for Paris Saint-Germain I will give everything I have". 🇫🇷 #PSG

As of now, the move to Real Madrid is looking difficult as Liverpool has shown their interest to sign the youngster. According to reports, Liverpool is a club which ‘attracts him a lot’ and Liverpool’s manager is keen to get his signatures.
Similar reports also claim that Mbape was not impressed with Real Madrid’s game style and was frustrated. We cannot say how much it is true because Mbappe himself claimed that the game will not decide his future.
Several reports also claim that PSG are ready with a new contract which Mbappe will not deny. However, Mbappe’s future also depends a lot on the UCL campaign this season.
It will be interesting to see whether the Frenchmen lands next summer or if he stays at PSG for more years.
