On 20th February BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has announced about the upcoming series of India against the Sri Lanka
starting from the 24th February. There are three T20I matches at first which will be played followed by two-match test series. The test match will feature as a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.
India won the series against West Indies which was scheduled from 6th February at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahemdabad by 96 runs in the third and the final T20I. The match of Sri Lanka vs Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground was won by Sri Lanka by 5 wickets.

The first T20I match is to be played in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium, Lucknow in the 24th of February. However, the other two matches are to be played in the 26th and 27th of February at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharmshala respectively in a standard time of 19:00 pm.
The other two test series are to be played on 4-8 March in Mohali and the second match is to be played 12-16 March in Bengaluru.

After being appointed as India’s white-ball captain, Rohit Sharma has also been named as the captain of red-ball format as well. Also, Jasprit Bumrah has been appointed as the vice-captain of T20 and Test matches.
