Ishan Kishan Back in Form With A Dashing Half Century In The 1st T20 Against Sri Lanka: Read Innings Report Of India Here

India vs Sri Lanka 1st T20: Srilanka tour of India, the match between the no.1 team and the no. 9th team in the ICC men’s t20 team rankings. The series against Sri Lanka also seems like the preparation for the upcoming T20 world cup 2022. The Indian team is much more confident after whitewashing West Indies in the home series. Many senior players like Ravindra Jadeja and Jaspirit Bumrah have been back in the squad while Virat Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav have been on-off due to busy schedules.

All things work positively for India in the West Indies series but the form of Ishan Kishan has been a concern for the team management but the scenario has been changed completely in the 1st match of the Sri Lanka series.

India vs Sri Lanks 1st T20: Ishan Kishan back in the form

The first match of the t20 series between India and Srilanka was played in the Lucknow Cricket Stadium. The squad looks completely fiery after the comeback of some senior members of the team.

Despite being a stable team, the question was about Ishan Kishan that he should be in the squad. However, Kishan gives a comeback answer after smashing a half-century in the 1st T20 against Srilanka.

Adopting a different approach

Kishan who was unable to score runs in the West Indies Kishan has scored a blasting 89 off 56 balls with 10 fours and 3 massive sixes with a strike rate of 158.93. Kishan who is a natural hitter has changed down his approach during the West Indies series and started playing defensive and as a result, he struggled against the West Indies bowling line-up. But in this first t20 against Srilanka, Kishan played his natural game and started getting the touch of what he was missing during the West Indies series. As a result, Kishan was able to score big runs.

Team management trust in Ishan Kishan

Despite a poor series with bat Ishan Kishan has been backed by the team management and given a chance to play against the Srilanka in the T20 series more importantly Kishan has been back by captain Rohit Sharma which in a comeback Kishan delivered what the management demand him.

India sets a target of 200 for  Srilanka in the 1st T20

Srilanka won the toss and elected to bowl first but the decision seems to be completely wrong as the Team India openers Rohit Sharma 44(32) and Ishan Kishan 89(56) started hitting the Srilankan bowlers all around the park.

Rohit and Kishan stand a 100 runs partnership and completely dominate the Srilankan bowlers. As Rohit gets out in the 11th over of the match the run rate is down slightly but Shreyas Iyer 57(28) who has been promoted to no.3 in this match made a fiery half-century and finished the 1st innings with Ravindra Jadeja 4(6) making a total of 199-2 in 20 overs.
