As we all know Kenjaku is the main villain of Jujutsu Kaisen Universe, but the question is he the strongest villain? Let’s explain both characters in depth and finally give a verdict on who is the strongest villain in JJK.
Disclaimer: This article has some huge spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
Is Kenjaku Stronger Than Sukuna And Able To Defeat Him?
During the Heian period, a thousand years ago, Ryomen Sukuna widely regarded as the “King Of Curses” who reigned over the earth. The undefeated Sukuna finally got sealed by a group of powerful jujutsu sorcerers. His essence was sealed and divided into 20 fingers. Sukuna’s revival started when Yuji ate one of his fingers as we can see in the first episode of JJK anime.
On the other hand, Kenjaku was one the most evil and smartest characters in the JJK universe. He has been alive since the Heian era and keeps on surviving by transferring his brain into different vessels. For now, he is using Geto’s body as his vessel.
Sukuna’s Capabilities
In JJK chapter 213 we see Sukuna leave Itadori’s body and take possession of Megumi’s body. Megumi is the descendant of the Zenin family and possesses the 10-shadows technique.
In chapter 223 Sukuna has regained 15 fingers holding Megumi’s body. Finally, the battle started between the strongest sorcerer of the new era Gojo Satoru, and the king of curses, the strongest sorcerer of the Heian era Ryomen Sukuna.
It was one of the fiercest and death-trolling fights ever witnessed in the JJK universe. The battle continued for 14 chapters and in chapter 236 we see Gojo has been cut in half. Legs intact on the ground and the body lying on the ground.
After this battle, Geje doesn’t show Gojo ever again in the further released chapters. So it has been not concluded whether Gojo will make a comeback or it was en end of the strongest sorcerer of the new era.
Kenjaku’s Capabilities
Kenjaku is one of the smartest characters from the Heian era in JJK and managed to survive for over 1000 years. He’s the one who has started Culling Games for his evil moto. Kenjaku started culling games so that he could kill all the sorcerers and collect their curse energy to start the merger of Tengen Sama. The merger will hence show him Mankind’s evolution in Japan, doing all this out of curiosity.
In chapter 208 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Kenjaku’s battle with Yuki revealed his immense power as he now inhabits Geto’s body. Geto was a top-tier sorcerer with the ability to manipulate curses. Kenjaku also demonstrated his strategic prowess by trapping the strongest sorcerer, Gojo, in the Prison realm during the Shibuya Incident arc.

Furthermore, since Kenjaku has been around since the Heian period, he’s well aware of Sukuna’s immense power. Not only that, but he’s the mastermind behind Itadori’s birth, specifically so that Itadori could become the vessel for Sukuna. This revelation was made clear in chapter 143.
However, when it comes to sheer brute force and raw power, Sukuna has the upper hand against Kenjaku. Nevertheless, Kenjaku’s strength lies in his strategic approach and, most importantly, his ability to transfer his consciousness to another body. This makes it incredibly challenging for Sukuna to defeat him.
Final Verdict on Kenjaku Vs Sukuna
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is currently at its peak. There is a high probability that the fans will have the opportunity to witness the highly anticipated battle between Kenjaku and Sukuna, as Kenjaku successfully fends off Sukuna’s attacks. This clash between the two characters is expected to be one of the most remarkable battles depicted in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. In a few more episodes we will come to know if is Kenjaku stronger than Sukuna or if King of Curses will remain on top.
Ultimately, it all comes down to Mangaka Gege Akatsumi and what he decides. But one thing’s certain: His work will continue to amaze fans, just like it has been doing. Until then, fan predictions and debates will continue to rage online.
