IPL 2022 Format And Groups: The toughest and the biggest league in the world, IPL is going to start from the last week of March. The two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujrat Titans have been added from this 2022 IPL season.

Due to covid protocols, all the matches will be played across Maharashtra in four big stadiums. For more excitement, the 10 teams have been divided into 2 groups for this year’s IPL 2022.
So, here we are with all the details of IPL 2022 including its format and groups.
IPL 2022 Format And Groups
This year IPL is going to more excited and crazy as there are 10 teams in this 2022 season. Thus, after the mega auction has been completed the officials are now come up with the new grouping theory. According to the reports, the teams have been divided into two groups “Group A” and “Group B” and each team will play 14 matches each. Every team will play 2 matches in their group and 4 matches with the teams of other groups.
The two groups has been divided on the basic of their winning record, winning titles and played finals.
Groups
Group A: Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants.
Group B: Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans

The two teams who have the highest points in their respective groups will qualify for the eliminaters. The qualifiers will remain the same as the top two teams one from each group will get a lifeline to play a second match in the eliminators and the remaining two teams will be play only one match in the eliminators.
