Noel Le Graet is the current President of the French Football Federation (FFF). He has been serving as president for over a decade now, as he was appointed for the role on 18 June 2011.
Garet has also been in recent controversies after the French footballer Kylian Mbappe tweeted against him due to his rude comment at Zinedine Zidane on being linked with France’s job.

While being with French Football federation Le Graet has also brought various sponsorships and initiated improvement in the financial position of FFF, including the new supplier contract with Nike.
Before that, he was the vice president of the French Football Federation for almost 5 years from 2005 to 2011. Prior to FFF, he was the president of League 1 from 1991 to 2000. Alongside this, he is also an industrialist, businessman, and Politician.
Le Graet was part of the recent controversies flying all over the media. The controversy started as the president of FFF claimed that he would not have answered Zidane’s call even if he called him to enquire about the National team job.
Noel stated, “Did Zidane try to reach me? Certainly not, I wouldn’t have picked up the phone anyway.” He also said that “I’ve never met him, we never considered parting with Didier.”
To this French Player, Kylian Mbappe defended the football legend Zidane and expressed his shock at Noel’s words on Twitter, stating “Zidane is France, we don’t disrespect the legend like that.”

But after Le Graet’s disrespectful comment for the legend, he apologized stating, “I want to apologize for these remarks which do not reflect my thoughts, nor my consideration for the player he was and the coach he has become. I gave an interview to the RMC that I should not have granted because he was looking for controversy by opposing Didier to Zinedine Zidane, two monuments of French Football.”
This was also followed by him accepting his ‘awkward remarks’ and appreciating the legend saying he has immense respect for him.
