Pogba tore his meniscus in his right knee which forced him into surgery. However, as per Athletic, he opted to go against it and wanted to appear in the World Cup. Moreover, his other knee injury raised concern and it was reported that Pogba will be out for the rest of the year.
But, as per the latest reports, Paul Pogba’s progress has been positive and he might return sooner than expected. Pogba is looking fit enough to play this year, but it is not confirmed if he will be fit for the World Cup.

According to reports, Pogba might return for Juventus in the last week to play in the Champions League. But, the player and the medical staff are still not sure about this as this might end up the whole return process, and if anything goes wrong, the hopes for the 2022 World Cup will be over.
Interestingly, even if Pogba manages to feature for Juventus in the month of October, it’s highly unlikely that he will make for the World Cup because the squads will be announced earlier. So, the chances of Paul Pogba playing in the World Cup are very less as of now. However, he might return to play for Juventus.
