Official Matchball For World Cup 2022: Football fans are getting curious as their favorite event “FIFA World Cup 2022” is approaching. This time the event is going to be held in Qatar. After the successful victory of France in the last held world cup, it will be exciting to see the competition this year. Recently, Adidas unveiled “Al Rihla” as the official match ball for the 2022 edition of the World Cup.

On 30th March 2022 through the Twitter handle of Adidas Football, it was informed that Al Rihla will be the official matchball of the World cup. This exclusive ball travels faster in flight than any other ball ever in the history of the world cup.

The Literal meaning of this ball signifies “the journey” in Arabic and its inspired by the culture, architecture, iconic boats, and the National flag of Qatar. This is the 14th successive ball created by Adidas for the FIFA World Cup.

“This is a stunning, sustainable and high-quality Official Match Ball from adidas that will be enjoyed by stars performing at the top of their game on the world’s biggest stage in Qatar, as well as grassroots players everywhere,” said Jean-François Pathy, FIFA’s Director of Marketing. “Al Rihla’s worldwide journey will represent the incredible reach of the FIFA World Cup and give fans a unique opportunity to engage with the event as excitement builds ahead of the big kick-off.”

This ball is considered to have two outstanding features i.e

CRT-CORE: This feature provides speed, accuracy, and consistency in the most intense games. During this, it is also considered to retain maximum shape, air, and rebound accuracy. Hence, this feature is known as the heart of the ball.

SPEEDSHELL: Its a textured polyurethane leather with a novel 20-panel shape. This helps for the better enhancement of the ball’s precision, stability and rotation in the air. The following feature is the result of macro and microtextures, as well as surface counter-relief.

This ball is the first world cup ball made exclusively with water-based inks and glues.

Kaka, Farah, Casillas, Nouf Al Anzi, and Jefry are some former players who will be attending the first public appearance of Al Rihla. They will even be accompanied by various fresh talents. This will include talents from Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. New generations of players from Aspire academy in Doha will also be a part of the event.
