Skyesports Champions Series: Velocity Gaming And Global Esports Secured Victory On Day-1

The first day of the Skyesports Champions Series started in style fans witnessed action-packed day of a LAN event.  Both the fan favorites teams Global Esports and Velocity Gaming secured victory on their first matches to advance to the next round.

Global Esports And Velocity Gaming Star Their Playoffs Journey With A Victory On Day-1 Of Skyesports Champions Series

In the very first game, Velocity gaming crushed Revenant Esports by securing the first two maps. Moreover, they will now face Enigma Gaming in the upper semifinals.

In the second game, Global Esports also advanced to the next round in similar fashion and won the match by 2-0 over Full Power Gaming. Below are the match details.

 

Match-1: Velocity Tackles The Revenant Challenge 

One of the veterans of Valorant scene in India, Velocity gaming showcased their dominance and got par Revenant esports in game-1. Moreover, Velocity defeated Revenant by 2-0 to advance to the Upper semifinals where they will be facing Enigma Gaming.

Map-1: Fracture

Fracture was a map pick by Revenant Esports but Velocity looked more comfortable than them, especially on the attacking side. The half ended on 6-6 but then Velocity won back-to-back rounds on the favorite attacking map to win it by 13-7.

Map-2: Breeze

The second map was Breeze, a pick by Velocity gaming and they proved they pick right. Velocity went on to dominate the game and sealed the map by 13-5. They ended the half on 8-4 as defenders but then again won back-to-back rounds to end the game.

Match-2: Global Esports Gets Past Full Power Gaming

Global Esports also secured their match by a scoreline of 2-0. Furthermore, they’ll face Orangutan in the upper semifinals tomorrow wheres FPG will wait in the lower bracket and will face the losing team of the match.

Map-1: Haven

Haven was a pick by Full Power gaming and they gave a tough fight to Global esports but failed to do so till the very end. Once the score was 8-9 in favor of FPG but then Global Esports secured 5 consecutive rounds at the end to win the game by 13-9.

Map-2: Bind

In a nail biting encounter, Global esports managed to get most of FPG and won the map of Bind to move forward in the tournament. They secured the map of Bind by 13-11.

This might sound close, but FPG made a comeback trailing from 5-12 and won 6 rounds back to back to make things interesting.

Now, both the winning teams will play in Upper Semifinals where the losing teams will wait and will face the losing team of the Upper Semifinals.
