In modern-day football, when it comes to choosing your favorite player, there are two names; Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Juventus’ new signing Dusan Vlahovic has also chosen his idol in football and it’s Cristiano Ronaldo. The striker posted a Tweet back in 2016 when he was not a big name in European football.
In the Tweet, Vlahovic wrote, “The Greatest @cristiano”, pointing toward Cristiano Ronaldo. The Tweet came into the limelight when 433 shared it as a throwback after the Serbian completed his move to Ronaldo’s former club Juventus.

Notably, Vlahovic is now seen as the replacement for Ronaldo at Juventus and is the new number 7 for the team. The number 7 jersey of Juventus was for Cristiano Ronaldo until he made his move back to his former club Manchester United.
Is Dusan Vlahovic ‘The Next Cristiano Ronaldo’?
Whenever a young talent emerges in the world of football, they’re often compared with some big names. Even if Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are two of the biggest names in the world of football now, they were also compared with previous footballing geniuses like Johan Cruyff, Ronaldinho, and Ronaldo (Brazil). So, this doesn’t come as a surprise that many fans have already declared their next Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Dusan Vlahovic is having an exceptional season this year and is bagging some insane numbers. For Fiorentina this season, Vlahovic appeared in 21 matches in the Serie A and 3 times in Coppa Italia. He scored 17 goals in 21 Serie A matches and 3 in 3 games in the Coppa Italia. Despite these insane numbers, Fiorentina were struggling and are currently 7th on the table. The numbers by Vlahovic are great, but it’s too early to give him big titles like ‘The Next Ronaldo’.
Vlahovic’s number grabbed the attention of many teams including Liverpool and Arsenal. But in the end, the Serbian landed at Allianz Arena and will now play for Juventus.
