Barcelona performed solidly against Atletico Madrid, all thanks to exceptional performances from players. Dani Alves who made a return to Barcelona this year after 8 years, entertained us all. Alves assisted Jordi Alba in the 10th minute of the game, then scored the fourth goal in the 49th minute.
When it seemed all perfect for the Brazilian, he received a red card for a nasty challenge. Referee of the match, Jesus Gil Manzano showed a straight red to the 38-year old and sent him off.

Dani Alves Helps Barcelona To Crush Atletico Madrid
The right-back started the match on a high note as he assisted Jordi Alba in the 10th minute for the equaliser. Barca soon doubled the lead with the help of Gavi who was assisted by new signing Adama Traore.
Defender Ronald Araujo scored the third goal and put the Catalan club on the front foot. The second half started in a similar fashion as Dani Alves scored the fourth goal. It was Alves’ first goal for Barca since returning last year. Last time he scored on 14th September in 2013 against Sevilla.

This was a much-needed win for the Catalan club as they dropped a lot of points previously in the season. Moreover, now they will be facing Espanyol next in the league on 14th February, before going against Napoli in the Europa League.
This can be considered a good start after the signings which the club made recently. Drop your opinions on Barcelona’s and Alves’ performance in the comment section below.
