Virat Kohli has now become the leading run-scorer at T20 World cup after surpassing Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma

On 2nd November Virat Kohli, became the cricketer with the most runs in the history of the T20 World Cup surpassing legendary cricketers like Mahela Jayawardene, Chris Gayle, and Rohit Sharma after scoring 62 runs against Bangladesh.

Kohli’s performance so far in the T20 World Cup 2022 has been phenomenal and the player does not fail to surprise us every time he’s on the pitch.

Virat Kohli becomes the cricketer with the most runs in T20 World Cup

On Sunday, 23rd October Virat became the second batter in the world to mark 1000 runs in a T20 World Cup after Mahela Jayawardene. This year’s T20 World cup has been a great start for India as well as for Kohli. Kohli was the player of the match on Sunday by scoring 82 runs against Pakistan and became the hope for Indian National Team in an almost-lost match. His intense and thrilling batting was the sole reason for India’s win against the Pakistani team.

And today while playing against Bangladesh he became the man with the most runs in T20 history with 1065 runs surpassing M Jayawardene’s 1016 runs. So far he has surpassed the biggest names in the cricket world including Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma.
