Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who has been considered as of the greatest batsman to have played the game celebrated his 49th birthday on 24 April. Master Blaster started his international career back in 1989 at the age of 16 and has served the nation for almost 24 years retiring at the age of 40.
Sachin Tendulkar has been the most complete batsman of his time and arguably the biggest cricket icon game has ever known. His batting was based on the purest principles.

There were no weaknesses in Tendulkar’s game. He scored all around the wicket with pure technique. His century on the fastpitch at WACA is considered one of the best innings ever to have been played in Australia
The crowd still remembers chanting ‘Sachin Sachin’ from the stands. Sachin has changed the face of Indian Cricket because of his great records. He had a tremendous career in both Test and ODI formats for India. There is hardly any record that does not have the name Sachin.
Tendulkar was never dominated by great bowlers like Wasim Akram, Glenn Mcgrath, Shoaib Akhtar, and Curtley Ambrose which makes him different from other batsmen.
Sachin Tendulkar Records
As far as his records, it might not be easy to get near him. The legend of the game has cored more than 34000 international runs in 664 games in all formats.
He became the first player to score 100 centuries in International cricket.
It was he who scored the first individual score of 200 in ODIs.
You could spend Sachin Tendulkar's birthday recollecting his 💯 hundreds 😀 pic.twitter.com/8N9xLJicYV

The God of Cricket is honoured with the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 2014.
In the two decades of his career, Sachin has played many record-breaking innings. He played his last match in November 2013 with West Indies. He has also made a record of six World Cup appearances being on the winning side in the 2011 World Cup.
Tendulkar’s achievements seem greater still when looked at in the light of the burden of expectation he had to bear. Anything less than a hundred is considered a failure

The kids here on Twitter who ask why we say Tendulkar is the greatest modern batsman. On his birthday today, I write a small thread.
1. When he was 18-19 he was scoring heavy overseas runs against great pace attack. When he was 38 he was scoring 200* in a single ODI innings. pic.twitter.com/gzkQgzFE8J
