BMOC 2022 Format And Date Revealed: Everything You Need To Know About BGMI’s Tournament

BMOC Format and Date Revealed: Esports season has already begun after the announcement of the first tournament of this year by BGMI. The first tournament will be BMOC (Battlegrounds Mobile India), followed by three more in 2022.

Registration has begun from today onwards and will close on 27th March. Players can register themselves either in-game or by visiting the official website with any device.

BMOC Format and Date (Season 1)

The first stage of BMOC will be the in-game qualifiers, held from 4 April to 10 April. In the first round, the registered team will battle in 15 matches with their registered players. Out of all the registered teams, only the top 10 will be taken for evaluation. Incredibly, 512 teams will advance to the next round of the competition.

Round 1 will divide these 512 teams into 32 groups. That will battle in 5 matches from the top 8 teams in each group qualifying for Round 2. As in Round 1, 256 teams will compete for 64 spots in Round 2. Six matches will be played by each of these 64 teams in Round 3, after which only 32 teams will proceed to the fourth round.

BMPS (Season 1): Everything You Need To Know

In round 4, 64 teams compete in six matches between 32 qualified teams from Round 3 and 32 directly invited teams, at the end of which the top 24 advances to BMPS (Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series) Season 1. As the qualified teams will play against the 32 most experienced teams in this round, this round will be crucial for them.

By the end of the fourth round, BMOC will have ended and BMPS will have begun. From April 21 to May 15, there will be four rounds of BMOC and from May 19 to June 12 there will be BMPS.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series Season 1 will feature 24 matches, in which the top 24 teams will compete in a round-robin format and the top 16 will advance to the finals. The prize pool for the BMPS is also the most generous of any esports tournament on the Indian subcontinent. This tournament features a prize pool of 2 crore INR.
