Australian coach Justin Langer has now resigned from his role. The decision was announced by Langer’s management company after a marathon meeting with Cricket Australia. Australia will appear in the T20 World Cup as defending Champions.
Australian team saw immense success under Langer’s coaching. The team went on to win the T20 World Cup and recently, clinched the Ashes against England. The men in yellow also played in the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinals under his guidance.
Langer was appointed as the men’s team coach in 2018 when the team was struggling. He guided the team to claim massive victories and continue their dominance in the Cricket world, as they did in the 90s and early 20s. But now, it’s confirmed that the journey of Justin Langer as a coach was tiLl here.

Who Will Replace Justin Langer As Australia’s Head Coach?
The Australian team will be hosting Sri Lanka for five t20 matches. However, Langer was going to miss out on the tournament due to personal reasons. Assistant manager Andrew McDonald was going to lead the charge for the series.
As of now, Andrew will be the new manager for the Australian team until the board finds a new one.
The Australian team will be up against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India in 2022, ahead of their T20 title defense. Furthermore, it will be interesting to see how the team evolves under the new coach and management.
Former Australian Captain, Ricky Ponting shared his views on the situation and said this is a sad day for Australian Cricket.

Not only Ponting, but Langer’s manager James Henderson also slammed CA over the decision. The actual reason for the departure of Langer is still unknown, but many believe, the short-term contract was not enough to recognize Langer’s work.
