Shubman Gill is an international cricketer playing for the Indian National team and plays for Punjab as a domestic cricketer. Shubman is among one of the youngest and finest cricketers in India and has the record for the youngest player to score a double century in ODI cricket.
During the IND vs NZ match, he scored a solid 208 runs in 149 balls. This led to team India’s ultimate win and he was also named the player of the match.
This was India’s 2nd double century in the ODI in recent times after Ishan Kishan’s impressive batting against Bangladesh with a score of 210 runs in 130 balls.

Shubman made his List A debut in 2017 against Vidarbha and also his debut for Punjab during the 2017-18 Rajeev-Ranji trophy against Bengal. He made his U19 debut in the cricket world cup as the vice-captain scoring 372 runs in the tournament.
After his match as the vice-captain of the U19 team, ICC (Indian Cricket Council) named him as the rising star of the squad. While he was 19 years old he became the youngest batsman to score a double century in a first-class match.

Gill made his IPL debut in the 2018 season with Kolkata Knight Riders he played for the team for three consecutive seasons (2018-21) with his impressive batting potential.
However, the team let go after the 2021 season but this opportunity was successfully redeemed by Gujarat Titans in 2022. They also won the previous season becoming current champions.
This year too for the 16th season Shubman is picked for GT with whooping Rs 8 crores.
