All You Need To Know About Emirates UAE T20 League: Teams, Start Date, Fixtures And Where To Watch

The Emirates Cricket Board on Monday announced that the inaugural edition of their UAE t20 league named International League T20 will be played from January 6 to February 12 in 2023.

There will be 34 matches between 6 teams at the venues in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.

Tayeb Kamali, Chairman, Selection Committee of ECB said

“Emirates Cricket Board is delighted to welcome Reliance Industries, Kolkata Knight Riders, Capri Global, GMR, Lancer Capital, Adani Sportsline, broadcaster ZEE, and all other stakeholders to the newly established T20 League of UAE.

As we begin this long journey I am confident that together we will achieve new heights and in the process provide entertainment and excitement to the millions of fans around the globe who are waiting for the first ball of the UAE T20 League to be bowled”.


There will be 6 teams who will be playing 34 matches. The franchise owner in the ILT20 are

  • Knight Riders Group(Owners of Kolkata Knight Riders
  • Adani Group
  • Capri Global
  • Lancer Capital
  • Reliance Strategic Business Venture Limited(owners of Mumbai Indians)
  • GMR Group( co-owners of Delhi Capitals

UAE T20 League: Start Date

UAE’s First-ever International League T20 will start on January 6 and end on February 12, 2023


Fixtures are yet to be disclosed. Six teams will compete in 34 matches at world-class venues in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.

Where To Watch The UAE T20 League

UAE’s T20 League matches will air across ZEE’s 10 linear channels in the HSM (Hindi Speaking Markets), South and East regions in English, Hindi, and Tamil languages.

The League will also be streamed through ZEE5, and on radio globally.

This Tournament Will Take Local Talents To A Higher Level

The tournament will provide a valuable platform for Emirates Cricket to take developing their local talent to a higher level.
