Deepak Jajbir Hooda is a well known Indian Cricketer and plays for Indian National Team in International matches. In domestic cricket he plays for Rajasthan and in the Indian Premier League he plays for one of the newly launched teams Lucknow Super Giants. He is an all-rounder player and plays a major role in matches. Also popularly known as ‘Hurricane’ because of his ability to change the game in a moment.
Also, he was the second Baroda player to hit a century on his debut after Snehal Parikh.
Deepak Hooda Debut
- Deepak made his debut in One Day International matches in India vs West Indies at Ahmedabad on 6th February 2022.
- For T20I Matches, he played against the Sri Lankan team at Lucknow on 24th February 2022.
- He joined Baroda Cricket Team in 2012
- In 2014 he made his first appearance in Indian Premier League by joining Rajasthan Royals and later in 2016 joined Sunrisers Hyderabad

Aside from his appearance in international matches for Indian National Team, Deepak has also played for Punjab Kings, Rajasthan in domestic cricket, Baroda, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and currently for Lucknow Super Giants.
For Sunrisers Hyderabad auction in IPL for 2016 he was picked up for Rs. 4.36 crores from a base price of 10 lakhs. Also, LSG picked the all-rounder player for Rs 5.75 crores in IPL 2022 auction.
Runs and Records
In total Deepak has played 79 matches in Indian Premier League and has scored total 779 runs in 60 innings. He has never scored century in IPL although his highest score in IPL is 64 runs.
He ha splayed only two ODI matches and has scored total 55 runs in 2 innings whereas in T20I Deepak has played 3 matches and scored 21 runs in 1 innings.
Personal Life
Deepak was a sports enthusiast since his childhood as his father was also an Airforce personal and services player for Kabaddi. At a small age of 14 years, Deepak represented U-17 team of Kendriya Vidyalaya in SGFI in the year 2009. Previously he was a Wicket-keeper batsman but later on joined as a batting all-rounder.
