All You Need To Know About Ayush Badoni: Runs, Records, IPL Teams And U19 Career

The much awaited season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has begun on 26 March this year with 10 teams fighting for the title. IPL has given chance to many young talents and among one such talent is year 22- year- old boy from Delhi, Ayush Badoni who got a dream IPL debut in the recently concluded match between newly inducted teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.

The youngster played a much needed innings by scoring 54 runs of 41 balls with a tremendous strike rate of 131.7 guiding the team to a total of 158/6. Badoni is a Indian cricketer who is a student of Late Tarak Sinha. Tarak Singh has coached players like Rishabh pant and Ashish Nehra . He made his T20 debut on 11 January 2021 for Delhi in the Syed Mushtaqh Ali trophy. In IPL 2022 auctions he was bought by Lucknow Super Giants . Badoni was also a part of U19 Asia Cup Indian team of 2018.

 

Ayush Badoni has scored 199 runs at a strike rate of 66.33 in 5 matches in the u19 Asia cup. He made into headlines when he scored unbeaten knock of 52 off 28 balls against Sri lanka as India clinched the title with victory of 144 runs. Ayush is Delhi’s highest run getter in U23 One Day scoring 389 runs at a strike rate of 83.11. He became the third youngest half centurion on IPL debut. Badoni was sent ahead of Krunal Pandya and he proved his worth.

Ayush Badoni got unsold for three consecutive years. However, in the IPL 2022 auctions, he was picked by Lucknow Super Giants in the base price of 20 lakhs. The youngster is inexperienced as he has only played five T20 for Delhi ever since he made his debut in Syed Mushtaqh Ali Trophy in January 2020-2021.

” I have been in the auction for three years and have got unsold. So iam grateful to Lucknow for picking me” said badoni . Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir who rates the younstar highly is glad that he is a part of his team

U19 CAREER

Ayush was not able to make it to Indian u19 world cup squad played in South Africa with Priyam Garg leading the side

With only 22 years of age and this much talent , the future of Indian cricket is in safe hands.
